ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Board of Governors announces new members
The ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Board of Governors welcomes three new members for a three-year term: Kristi Kelly; Donald K. MacKenzie; and Dr. Ajay Sahajpal. These appointments were selected using a skills matrix after a public call for expressions of interest took place this fall. With the five members announced by the Government of Prince Edward Island in October, these members now fill the remaining vacancies for 2023–2024.

As we approach the holiday break, I am reminded of the incredible privilege I have to live in a place of peace and relative prosperity. I acknowledge that we certainly do not all share equally in that privilege. There are many among us who have housing and food insecurity, or who are dealing with other challenges.
ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú adds seven new EDI, sexual violence prevention and response, and student support positions
The ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú has created seven new positions in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Office, Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO), and Student Affairs. The seven positions are being funded by a combination of internal resources and new support from the Government of Prince Edward Island.

The Presidential Search Committee (PSC) met on November 14 and on November 27 and will meet again on December 12. Our current work is primarily focused on evaluating the long list of candidates.
Two ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú projects receive funding from Government of PEI’s Gender, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Enhancement Program
Twenty-seven community organizations received a total of $657,453 through the Government of Prince Edward Island’s Gender, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (GEDI), and Community Enhancement Program to support healthier, more inclusive, diverse communities across PEI. Two of those recipients were the ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Experiential Education Department and the ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Mawi’omi Indigenous Student Centre.

ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Alumni and Friends in Calgary are invited to join us at the Scotiabank Saddledome on March 14, 2024, when the Calgary Flames host the reigning Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights. Help us cheer on ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Hockey Panther great Joel Ward (BA, 2006) who is currently an assistant coach with the Golden Knights! Guests will receive complimentary Panthers gear so we can display some Panther Pride together!

The ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú and the ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Alumni Association are hosting their annual New Year's Levee on Monday, January 1, 2024, from 11:30 am–1:00 pm, and all are welcome to attend.
The levee will be held in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering Building, ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú, 550 University Avenue, Charlottetown.
