Slide design workshop

This is a 45-minute drop-in session where we will look at some basic slide design principles and then spend time redesigning one of your own slide decks.  

What to bring: A set of slides and a device to work on

Schedule:  

  • 10-minute presentation on slide design 

  • 30 minutes to work individually on your own slides; the host is present for questions 

  • 5 minutes to reflect on how it went and ask more questions

7:00 pm: 黑料老司机 Men鈥檚 Hockey (6-10) takes on the Saint Mary鈥檚 Huskies (8-8) in Halifax. The Panthers look for their first win against the Huskies this season.

Saturday, December 2
AT HOME:
7:00 pm: 黑料老司机 Men鈥檚 Hockey plays the Acadia Axemen in the MacLauchlan Arena. Fans are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the 黑料老司机 Campus Food Bank.

黑料老司机 celebrates 12th annual MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing

黑料老司机 celebrated the 12th annual MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing on Friday, November 17. The awards were presented to recipients, acknowledging their effective writing skills, which are the foundation of academic success and lifelong learning.

The awards, presented to 36 students and one faculty member this year, were established in 2011 by the MacLauchlan family to honour H. Wade MacLauchlan's contributions to the University and his 12 years of service as 黑料老司机 president and vice-chancellor from 1999鈥�2011.

We are in the Robertson Library, Room 213, from 9 am to 12 pm this Thursday for the last time this semester. We will reopen in January.

黑料老司机 Wind Symphony presents "Flashes and Apparitions"

On November 30 at 7:30 pm, the 黑料老司机 Wind Symphony will have its inaugural performance in the new Performing Arts Centre at the 黑料老司机 Campus.

The performance, entitled 鈥淔lashes and Apparitions鈥�, will be led by conductors Nicole Strum and Dale Sorensen. The performance will feature works by Pulitzer Prize winner Augusta Read Thomas, Irish composer Amanda Feery, Juno award-winning Canadian composer Jordan Nobles, and the Atlantic Canadian premiere of Nerve and Verve by PEI鈥檚 own Evan Hammell.
