7:00 pm: The 黑料老司机 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers play the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is Game 1 of the AUS quarter-finals best-of-3 series. The Panthers were 1-2-2 against the Huskies during the regular season.

Every week, 黑料老司机 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料老司机 Panther Athletes of the Week for February 5鈥�11, 2024, are Lauren Rainford (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kamari Scott (men鈥檚 basketball).

What brought you to 黑料老司机? Why did you choose to study here?

I came to 黑料老司机 mainly to pursue my post-secondary education. I'm from Ghana which is situated in the Western part of the African continent. Travelling to Canada was motivated by the opportunities I had heard other immigrants testify about Canada. In search of a good university to continue my education, 黑料老司机 was referred to me by a relative. I took some quality time to research the school and I was impressed as I read the mission and goals of 黑料老司机: 鈥�...

Gifts from the Heart Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps low-income islanders and those going through tough times by providing them food, clothing, toys, furniture, and personal hygiene products for FREE. They are all about spreading love and kindness to those who need it most.

2024 Summer Job and Career Fair

We are thrilled to return to an in-person Summer Job and Career Fair for 2024. The fair provides an opportunity for students and employers to meet face-to-face and for students to learn about summer jobs and full-time opportunities.
 
Hosted by 黑料老司机 Experiential Education, the fair welcomes a wide variety of employers from various industries who are actively hiring students and recent graduates at the time of the fair.   

Gina' Matimg: A Time For Learning - Film Screening

Following her award-winning film Ice Walk, Abegweit's Eliza Knockwood is back with another cinematic experience. In her docuseries Gina' matimg: A Time For Learning viewers will follow four youths from Epekwitk who are tasked with seeking knowledge that will assist them in a 24-hour survival challenge. What will the Elders and allies teach them, and will it be enough to survive the challenge? Who will make it to the end?

All are welcome, and light refreshments are provided.
