The 2011 黑料老司机 Sports Legacy Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 13 at 6:30 pm at McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Centre, to recognize Academic All-Canadians, named financial award winners, and the 黑料老司机 Sports Hall of Fame inductee, Curtis Robinson. Tickets are available for purchase by the general public for $75 each.

On Friday, October 7, 2011 representatives from the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) will be on campus to meet with researchers interested in hearing about the work of CIMVHR and potential collaborative research opportunities. Susan Marlin, Queen鈥檚 A/VP Research, Dr. Stephanie Belanger, RMC, Associate Director CIMVHR, and Alice B. Aiken, Director of CIMVHR will all be in attendance. The 鈥淩esearcher Template鈥� is available from Jan Coffin jdcoffin@upei.ca for researchers at 黑料老司机 who may be interested in research relating to military and Veteran health. This information will be used to populate the database with interested researchers so you can find each other, and so that government partners know who you are.

The PEI Coalition for Women in Government, in conjunction with the 黑料老司机 Political Studies Society and Interministerial Women's Secretariat is hosting a FREE screening of Miss-Representation to mark Women's History Month. Miss-Representation is a documentary about the difficulties for women to obtain leadership positions and for girls to reach their full potential. Everyone is encouraged to come to the screening. "As the most persuasive and pervasive force of communication in our culture, media is educating yet another generation that a woman鈥檚 primary value lay in her youth, beauty and sexuality鈥攁nd not in her capacity as a leader." There will be FREE popcorn and beverages provided. Doors open at 6:40 pm.
