The ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú community was saddened to learn of the passing of Panther great and ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Sports Hall of Fame member Tracy Ellsworth on June 21, 2024.

Competitor, fearless, respected, champion—these are just a few words that describe the type of person Tracy was as a Panther and community member at large. During Tracy’s five years at ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú, she completed her Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts, while distinguishing herself as an All-Conference player in both field hockey and basketball.

"It's a unique project, and I got to work on it with a really talented team."

In the second, third, and fourth years of ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú's Bachelor of Sustainable Design Engineering program, students form small groups to participate in a year-long design and implementation project with a corporate or community partner. Described as "an opportunity for students to act as engineering consultants for a company or organization, where teams of students team solve an actual technical challenge from the partner's operation", the design clinic program is a truly hands-on, real-world learning experience.
