黑料老司机

The 黑料老司机 held its 2025 Convocation ceremony on June 22 at its campus in New Cairo, Egypt.

Rooted in a Canadian legacy of academic excellence and shaped by their journey in Cairo, the fourth cohort of the 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus graduates now step forward with confidence, purpose, and a future of their own making. From the proud walk across the stage to the cheers of loved ones, the ceremony captured the heart of everything 黑料老司机 stands for: academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and global citizenship.

Dr. Wendy Rodgers, 黑料老司机 President and Vice-Chancellor, presided over the ceremony and bestowed degrees upon 107 graduates in the faculties of Business, Sustainable Design Engineering, and Science. 

Dr. Kim Critchley, Provost of the 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus, served as master of ceremonies for the convocation. Special guests included H.E. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; His Excellency Ulric Shannon, Ambassador of Canada to Egypt; and Dr. Ramy Sallam, President of Universities of Canada in Egypt.

Attending from 黑料老司机 were Dr. Tarek Mady, Dean, McDougall Faculty of Business, and Dr. Marva Sweeney-Nixon, Associate Vice-President Research and Dean of Graduate Studies.

Participants from the 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus included Dr. Rasha El Shafei, Associate Provost of the 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus and Associate Dean, Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering; Dr. Islam Hegazy, Associate Dean, School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Faculty of Science; Dr. Nesma Ammar, Associate Dean, Faculty of Business; Neveen Nour Ed Din, Assistant Professor and Marshal; and Ahmed ElGarem, 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus Alumni Association representative.

Graduate Veronica Ayman was the recipient of the prestigious President鈥檚 Cup for achieving the highest academic standing across all faculties and was the top achiever in the McDougall Faculty of Business.

Abdalla Amr took top honours in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, and Verina Wagdy finished first in the Faculty of Science.

Arwa Hussien ElOuby, who graduated from the McDougall Faculty of Business, was the first woman to be valedictorian at a 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus convocation ceremony. She delivered an inspiring address to her fellow graduates, faculty, special guests, family, and friends.

Following the awarding of their degrees, the graduates received a 黑料老司机 pin and card from the 黑料老司机 Alumni Association as the newest members of the Panthers-for-Life family.

In 2017, 黑料老司机 began discussions to offer an academic program in Egypt after a Canadian parliamentary delegation visited that country to explore establishing a university complex in New Cairo. The initiative is funded entirely the University of Canada, Egypt (UCE) consortium. The 黑料老司机 Cairo Campus offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Design Engineering; Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computational Sciences; Bachelor of Business Administration; and Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership. Students in these degree programs learn the same curricula as do those at 黑料老司机鈥檚 home campus on Prince Edward Island, and, at the end of their programs, graduate with 黑料老司机 degrees.
